He runs Amanah globally, and the argument does not change from room to room. Sovereign AI is not a black box rented from abroad. It is narrow, practical, industry specific capability the client owns outright, where the return shows up in compute efficiency, model accuracy and the absence of a vendor who can switch you off.
Twenty years of founding and running international ventures sit behind that, mostly as chief executive, from the Gulf to Asia Pacific and North America. He works as a builder rather than a backer, putting decision support systems and operating knowhow into a business rather than capital alone.
He read mathematics and computer science at the University of British Columbia, which shows in how quickly a conversation with him moves from strategy to compute.
